RCS6.25 is a slim 2-way component kit, developed for installations where space is limited, but expectations remain high. At its core is a 6.5” woofer with just 41 mm mounting depth. Making it suitable for modern vehicles with increasingly tight tolerances behind the door panels.

RCS6.25 is part of the Reference series for a reason. The woofer features a cast aluminum Euro-style basket with internal motor structure and a hybrid magnet system combining ferrite and neodymium for control and efficiency.

A copper shorting ring reduces distortion and improves midrange clarity, while the lightweight glass fiber cone and Santoprene suspension work together to produce bass that is fast, articulate and uncoloured. The choice of materials draws inspiration from our work with the Cruise series from the last few years.

The 25 mm silk dome tweeter is vented through both the magnet and backplate. A small acoustic chamber with aperiodic damping softens pressure buildup and suppresses resonances at the lower end of its range. It integrates cleanly with the woofer and adds detail and openness without calling attention to itself.

The woofer and tweeter each use dedicated 12 dB/octave crossovers, built with carefully selected components including MKT capacitors, air-core coils and MOX resistors. This ensures every driver is precisely tuned for its range, while at the same time simplifying installation.

In many cars, the woofer is mounted in the door and the tweeter in the dashboard or A-pillar. Having separate crossovers allows both to be connected through the car’s factory wiring without the need for additional cabling. The concept works equally well when the tweeter is mounted in the door or in custom installations, as the crossovers can simply be wired in parallel.

RCS6.25 is in every way a Reference speaker, with the right design philosophy: natural, balanced sound in a form factor that works. Deliveriing music with integrity and presence, in places where most speakers simply won’t fit.
