In addition, a custom-made carbon dust cap protects – literally – the 8000 W RMS coil of this beast and ensures that diaphragm deformation is a thing of the past. World-class endurance At

this ultimate level, linearity and accuracy are key. A moving assembly with an elite diaphragm and a premium US-made voice coil (80mm winding height) that must remain perfectly aligned even during extreme excursions. To keep this huge moving mass under control, we implemented a 4-ply Nomex spider pack with orange mesh and a mega-roll surround on top – double stitched to the diaphragm, of course.

Extreme Power Handling

A dual 4″ black anodized flat aluminum wire voice coil with 8 layers gives the CMP S3-12D1N extreme power handling and heat dissipation capabilities. They are available in two versions, 1+1 or 0.5+0.5 ohms, for a perfect impedance match to your chosen amplifiers. To achieve the best possible signal transfer and increased durability, two silver-coated feed lines have been sewn into the Spider package. The pre-terminated 10 mm² oxygen-free copper direct leads provide excellent conductivity to ensure a strong and reliable direct connection between the subwoofer coil and your amplifier with no points of additional resistance or poor contact.
